Job Description

Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Engineer to provide SME with combat system integration skills to support continued efforts for System Concept Review, Systems Requirements Review, PDR, CDR, TPR, and CSCP/Combat System Certifications.  Will participate in Engineering Technical Reviews (ETRs), Software Increment Reviews (SWIRs), In-Process Reviews (IPRs), and Change Review Boards/Configuration Control Boards (CRBs/CCBs).  Provide radar system engineering consultation in the area of risk management and generate radar-specific program risks; Deliverables: Deliver emails, memos, and reports, as required.  Support customer efforts to prepare for SRR and other SETR events by developing artifacts required for each review including Design Disclosures (DD), PDR, CDR, IPR, TPR and other Milestone Design and Decision/Programmatic Meetings.

The successful candidate will make recommendations for improvements and/or corrections to Combat System Engineering-Review specifications (Radar and weapon system and support detailed design reviews of Radar waveforms and unique signal processing, digital beamforming, and clutter rejection techniques.

Experience and Skills

Education/Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a school of engineering or from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Engineering, Mathematics or Physics; or
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Engineering, Mathematics, Physics; or
  • Ph.D degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.

 

General Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum fifteen years if Candidate has a bachelor’s degree; or
  • Minimum twelve years if Candidate has a master’s degree; or
  • Minimum eight years if Candidate has a Ph.D. degree.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Current DoD Secret clearance

 

Specialized Experience:

  • Expertise (or close) on the AEGIS Program, as a radar systems engineer; Familiarity with requirements analysis, risk identification and risk management; Familiarity with radar system integration and radar system testing.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to perform detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced radar systems concepts, specifications and perform system integration.
