Job Description
Kratos is seeking a Software Development Engineer for our Federal Software Engineering and Data Products Development team. The position includes support of dynamic, fast-paced projects that span all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, test, and customer support. As part of a small team, this developer will participate in the development and maintenance of various data products for various satellite programs to include the following:
- API
- Compass
- Database
- Human Machine Interface GUIs
- Mission Unique Software
- Orbital Analysis
- Simulation
- Task Automated Operations
The ideal candidate has experience with satellite telemetry and commanding, including software development in EPOCH Product Suite and OASYS. This candidate must be self-motivated, work well independently and as part of a larger team, be a self-learner, have strong attention to detail and be able to adhere to strict timelines. Experience with software development life cycle is also required. Candidate must be able to quickly and efficiently generate estimates and status of design efforts, including materials (such as presentation slides), for use internally as well as with customers. Good written and oral communication skills strongly desired.
