Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for penetrating and expanding presence in the United States defense and aerospace markets for microwave products such as Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs), Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) and stand-alone microwave components.  Overall responsibility for Sales and Marketing Department.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Developing new and current sales opportunities in the US defense and aerospace markets for IMAs, SSPAs and microwave components
    • Meet with the major prime customers
    • Get designed-in to significant new long-term programs
  • Preparing proposals, with engineering support, for customer requirements, including technical proposal and pricing
  • Identifying and recommending new areas for development
  • Preparing annual sales forecasts
  • Supervision of and responsibility for Sales and Marketing Department
    • In-house personnel
    • Representatives throughout the United States
    • Reports to Business Unit President/General Manager

 

Experience and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Background in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a relevant technical subject
  • Proven success in the sale of microwave products to the US defense and aerospace industries
  • Natural communicator with the ability to develop strong working relationships at a variety of customer levels
  • Communicate and interact effectively with supervisors, peers, direct reports, and customers
  • Ability to see the “big picture”
  • Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in sales in the US defense and aerospace markets, with microwave component/subsystem experience
  • Requires Bachelor's degree, with a strong preference for Electronic Engineering or Physics
