Job Summary

Kratos is looking for an experienced Mid/Senior Test Engineer with experience in the fields of, Network Services, Process Engineering, Project Scheduling, Software Engineering, Sustainment Engineering, Systems Engineering, Systems Safety Engineering  and Test Engineering/execution  to support the AFLCMC/ECQR (BPP Systems). Under this contract, Advisory and Assistance Services will be provided in support to the BMEWS/Pave Paws Branch (ECQR) of the Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC).

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide Senior level test guidance and management for SW/HW projects within the SPO.
  • Provide mid/senior level test guidance and management experience in Agile methodologies, to include deployment.
  • Ensure the test engineering process is applied from requirement allocation through design, development, and integration.
  • Ensure the Agile processes outlined by the SPO in the form of Safe Agile methodology are implemented
  • Participate in the Agile Process, PI Planning and Sprint Planning at a minimum.
  • Provide world-wide, multi-agency technical support and Test Management to ensure technical integrity for all managed systems to all activities
  • Develop, coordinate, and oversea the test engineering aspects of SPO projects and programs of large scope, containing many phases, of which two or more phases contain several complex features
  • Advise and support work that involves the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and/or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats
  • Oversee the installation, testing, maintenance, and upgrade operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of UEWR software.
  • Provide integrated schedule test management technical support to system acquisition processes and collaborate and incorporate key schedule requirements to ensure mission success.
  • Support: requirements development, plan preparation, assess ability to achieve results.
  • Provide Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, Program/Project, Requirements Analysis, Risk Management, and Test Engineering support services i.
  • Support activities will range across the CM, QA, PP, RA, RM, and SE activities outlined in the task order PWS.
  • Perform on-site and SIL technical surveillance of critical safety items, research approved sources for these items, and the oversight of the design configuration baselines (basic design engineering responsibility for the overall configuration including design packages, maintenance procedures, and usage profiles) for the fielded system to ensure continued certification compliance are also part of the sustaining engineering effort
  • Provide technical expertise for test engineering to include, but not limited to the current versions of AFI 99-103, 99-101, 99-102, and 99-103AFMAN 63-119, 21SWI 10-202, 21-131, 53-202, USSTRATCOM 535-01, NO-10-3 and a T&E Test Management Guide.
  • Familiar with integrating technical processes, applying engineering and management principles, criteria, and techniques to help programs identify their design-related hazards and devise ways to mitigate the risks associated with them
  • Provide technical and engineering support for ERP and major IT Test and Evaluation (T&E)
  • Oversee, manage, and document the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing

Experience and Skills

Qualifications and Skills for all jobs:

  • Valid DOD Top Secret clearance
  • 5 years Test Engineering experience
  • US Citizenship
  • Possess a Senior level knowledge, with practical application of the SW/HW Test Disciplines.
  • Possess mid/senior level experience in Agile methodologies, to include deployment.
