Job Description
The Program Director leads the execution of advanced simulation systems developed through analysis, requirements, design, manufacture, integration, test, delivery, and sustainment phases. The Program Director may lead one or more Program Managers and/or teams of associated technical specialists in concept formulation, planning, design, production, testing, fielding and sustainment of simulation products and services. Lead and execute assigned programs within the DoD Acquisition Framework including management of cost, schedule, and performance attributes of major complex projects. Responsible to develop and manage approved program plans that include work break down structures, integrated master schedules, manpower plans, baseline budgets & Estimate at Completes (EACs), Key Performance Indictors to include Earned Value Management, resource management & task assignments, and risk & opportunity management. Responsible for intercompany planning of quality control, configuration management, manufacturing/production, and life cycle support/logistics elements of assigned projects. Support Corporate, Division, and Business Unit Leadership with development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures. Responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplinary people to accomplish business objectives within scheduled time constraints while meeting all the customer requirements. Strong customer relationship and customer expectation management skills are a must.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides expertise and support to executive management team while leading the integrated product team (IPT) to achieve Technical, Financial, contractual, management, and customer relations objectives of the business.
- Superior interpersonal communication skills with all levels of management within Kratos and its customers
- Experience interfacing directly with government and/or commercial customer representatives
- Working knowledge to evaluate engineering analysis of problems and processes in system development in areas of training/mechanical/electrical engineering
- Perform recurring and adhoc program analysis/assessments including technical, financial, and schedule performance for development, production, and integration of training products
- Develop and maintain current, accurate, and complete program schedules, financial projections, forward looking staffing profiles, and Risk/Opportunity status
- Make decisive decisions to achieve business objectives using outcome of collaborative analysis/assessments of technical, schedule, financial, and customer relations.
- Owns all deliverables IAW approved plans to meet contractual requirements on time and within approved budgets.
- Lead for program reviews with executive management and the integrated product team
