We have immediate needs for highly talented and motivated scientists and engineers to join our Kratos Defense and Rocket Support Services (KDRSS) Huntsville, Alabama location. This is an excellent opportunity to join our software engineering staff.  KDRSS maintains a unique and highly capable mix of flight, ground and material testing capability as well as specialized software development and application to the Hypersonic T&E.

  • Support, develop and expand the capability of our transient thermal analysis software and Computational Fluid Dynamics models.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to existing applications and new developments, including test-driven development activities.
  • Assist in the design and development of engineering software under general supervision
  • Utilize experience with C/C++, FORTRAN 90, MATLAB, and Python.
  • Develop written reports, briefings, and other documentation.

Experience and Skills


  • Experience in C++, Python, and shell scripting languages
  • Experience with the use, modification and/or development of scientific computing applications on Linux platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


  • BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
  • Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance

 This position allows for some telecommuting.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. 

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.
