We have an incredible opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to make a significant impact on our team! This is a remote position reporting into our beautiful Colorado Springs facility.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting the company infrastructure business processes and operations and/or network-based (cloud) product systems. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems with automated systems solutions. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Provision, configure, administrate, automate, monitor, and support enterprise and project cloud services.
• Assist in enterprise datacenter modernization initiative by designing a cloud infrastructure which supports global business applications and operations.
• Through automation, enforce continuous compliance to security standards.
• Design state-of-the-art technical solutions that are scalable, reliable, secure, and meet performance requirements.
• Support architectural design and new cloud service implementations utilizing industry best practices.
• Assist with the planning and migration of legacy applications to the cloud.
• Perform operational engineering for activities which include platform upgrades, server patching, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development environments.
• Manage security logging, monitoring, and alert triage and participate in security incident response and investigation.
• Utilize various automation, monitoring, and service management tools & techniques to troubleshoot issues and perform performance tuning
• Support our development and engineering teams on cloud related issues
• Adhere and comply with System Development Lifecycle and Release Management processes and procedures to include the use of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Experience and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Must be a self-starter, able to work productively independently, as well as, work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary engineering tea.
• Ability to troubleshoot system issues.
• Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties, including computer skills.
• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
• Communicate and interact effectively with peers, managers, senior leadership and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
• Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing, and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment, and changes, and more.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience administering Azure
• Experience writing and developing infrastructure-as-code
• Certification in Azure desired
• Security Certifications a plus
• Terraform and FEDRAMP experience preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Office and open cubical environment.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones).

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Yes, to other local Kratos sites when applicable.
