Facilities Manager

Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the management of the Maintenance/Facility department. Oversees predictive/preventive maintenance and technical building operations. Other responsibilities include management and coordination of capital projects, maintenance projects, facility improvement initiatives, and grounds maintenance. The position plans estimates on capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, labor materials and other related costs for submission of the annual budget. Responsible for overall facility upgrades of all plants. This position is responsible for training, leadership, performance management, and hiring recommendations of the employees. Requires the ability to coordinate and closely communicate with other departments on facility, equipment, continuous improvement, and capital projects. 

Experience and Skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline

3+ years’ experience in Facilities Management position

Working knowledge of electrical, Mechanical, and HVAC systems

 

Other Experience: 

Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, including bidding, securing, and managing contactors and vendors 

Experience in working and managing systems such as fire suppression systems, HVAC plumbing, mechanical equipment, and the working of building management systems

Be able to read and understand blueprintsCoordinate system repairs and monitor system performance

Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
