Entry Level Engineer/Scientist

Job Description

Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services is currently seeking an Entry Level Engineer/Scientist to support The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).

The successful candidate shall provide engineering and technical support services to support NSWCDD at the warfare center, test facilities, Contractor facilities, and in the field. This Contractor support shall be provided in the general Radar Work Areas of: Requirements Development and Analysis Support, Systems Engineering, Software Development, Antenna Design, Signal Processing, Radar Operation, and Test and Evaluation. Specific areas of support will include:

1). Maintaining the Advanced Medium Dual Radar (AMDR) and analyzed data in a common Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) database. Support the Advanced Radars team by establishing and maintaining requirements.

• Deliverables include emails, memos, briefs and reports, as required.
• Maintain configuration management of the requirements
• Develop scripts to maintain the requirements
• Manage the review process of requirements documents
• Deliverables include Technical Reports.
• Recommend program improvement.

 

2). Support radar system design by evaluating system performance and regression using the Reliability and Maintainability Symposium (RAMS) model and:

• Assist in Configuring and executing RAMS model to conduct performance regression test cases.
• Developing reports and presentations to document and communicate the results of the analysis.
• Assisting the M&S lead by maintain group task list and schedule.
• Assisting the M&S lead document and track prime contractor M&S priorities and deliverables.

3). Supporting the ADR Lead System engineer for SRD requirements development and evaluation, project planning and scheduling, engineering, and test planning.

 

Experience and Skills

Required Experience:

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Bachelors degree from an a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering; 
• U.S. Citizen
• Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance

Specialized Experience:

• Demonstrated experience and ability to perform detailed and complex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess advanced radar systems concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration.
• DOORS database experience desired
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to accomplish assigned tasks.
