Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

 

We are seeking an Enterprise Application Administrator/Data Analyst to assist with implementing, upgrading, migrating, patching, administering and supporting multi-tier enterprise platforms (PDM/PLM/ERP/MRP/GL/BI) with specific focus on PDM/PLM Design Engineering tools (Smart Team, Catia, 3DX) and companion software. The ideal candidate possesses enough data analysis and back end SQL Server database/scripting experience to support these platforms. While not a software/web development role, knowledge of data extraction, transformation and load (ETL) processes; C#/C++, VB, or EKL (Enterprise Knowledge Language) is also important for utility creation and automation.

 

 

This position will interface with 3rd party support, internal cross functional IT groups and internal functional users in an effort to troubleshoot/resolve issues.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Support various n-tier (db/app/web/desktop) enterprisewide application/database/ETL/BI/report functions, for example: 3DExperience (PLM), TIPQA (QA), Control (aka Cincom/MRP), CODA-Financials (GL), UKG AutoTime (Timekeeping), Deltek Costpoint (ERP), Sharepoint (CRM), SQL Server (DB), Oracle (DB), Talend (ETL), SSRS (ETL), Power BI and Tableau Server (BI).

  • Assist local and remote users; facilitate 3rd party support.

  • Install/deploy hotfixes/patches (employing SOX approach; with proper change controls in place).

  • Configure security controls: user access groups/roles; enable/disable users (employing SOX approach; with proper approvals in place).

  • Administer/Support SQL/Oracle DBs; to the extent required to support the platforms.

  • Act as an IT Lead on implementations, upgrades and migrations.

  • Learn new technologies as they are adopted so as to be able to assist with supporting/enhancing/improving system functionality.

  • Act as an IT Lead in data Extraction, Transformation and Load (ETL) processes (utilizing Talend, SQL Server and the native bulk import/export features within the various applications).

  • Assist with SQL script development.

  • Act as an escalation point to Level III Enterprisewide Apps Analysts; providing direction and oversight (technically and programmatically).

  • May be assigned to lead upgrade, implementation and migration projects that affect multiple systems, involve several vendors/teaming partners, require frequent user interface and management of resources.

  • Work with minimal supervision at times; acting as the primary Team escalation point at your site

  • Mentors level I-IV Enterprisewide Apps Analysts.

  • Troubleshoots more complex desktop/db/app/web tier technical issues.

Experience and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Required:

  • It is most important the candidate have technical/hands-on experience with front end and back end setup/configuration/support of multi-tier ERP, MRP, GL type platforms in general.

  • Ability to create, maintain, backup, restore and refresh SQL databases (Oracle also desired; can train).

  • Familiar with SharePoint Online content management, migration (utilizing ShareGate) and governance (desired; will train; must be willing to learn this skill). Experience with the Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate functions is a plus.

  • Ability to interact effectively with end users, peers, 3rd party support providers and management (strong verbal and written communication skills).

  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules.

 

Preferred:

  • Linux a plus.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Must have previous involvement in implementing/supporting multi-tier platforms (ERP/MRP/GL desired).

  • Enough SQL Server knowledge to support enterprise platforms.

  • Understanding of data security practices and experience implementing security controls (front end and back end).

  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience.

  • Experience with data analysis, report development and ETL processes so as to deliver data to end users in various formats.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).

  • 0-5% May be required between KUAS locations.
