As a Manager, Cybersecurity Services (Penetration Testing) for Kratos, you will be overseeing teams of penetration testers to test, evaluate, and secure top-tier commercial companies with innovative cloud computing solutions and on-premises infrastructures by providing penetration testing, red teaming, attack simulations, and more.
The ideal candidate for our penetration testing team will thrive on collaboration, learning, and teaching. The candidate should have the ability to effectively manage teams, customer engagements, and hold a firm understanding of how to apply the latest vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques in a variety of circumstances and expertise performing penetration testing in complex and diverse computing and communications environments. Candidates with existing DoD clearances and experience with cloud environments, mobile application testing, and testing automation is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Practice Lead:
- Functional leader in Penetration Testing leading the development and implementation new capabilities, creating approaches, methodologies, and tools to grow the penetration testing capability.
- Provide thought leadership to improve current service offerings.
- Provide technical expertise and remain current on technology trends in the marketplace.
- Cultivate and maintain key partnering relationships with strategic customers, business associates, and/or sub-contractors.
- Serve as the account manager for multiple commercial customers and lead organic growth within existing customer base.
- Spearhead the development of new and updated documented playbooks, processes and procedures for penetration testing and/or tools.
- Develop and implement custom automation for full attack lifecycle testing execution capabilities.
- Research and seek opportunities to leverage new tools or processes that bolster the ability to analyze, disassemble, and/or reverse engineer vulnerabilities.
- People Manager:
- Manage the activities of the individual contributors.
- Manage multiple efforts by appropriately gauging individual level of effort needed on each project based on staff, customer requirements, and similar factors to ensure properly balanced projects.
- Ensure successful project completion by developing and planning projects/tasks, and adhering to scheduling, budgetary, quality control, risk management, and contractual obligations.
- Business Manager: Work to continually build and improve well-rounded penetration testing teams:
- Lead the interviewing process and make hiring decisions to support Kratos and team needs.
- Responsible for staffing decisions, performance reviews, and pay reviews.
- Participate in staff selection process for project assignments.
- Oversee staffing skill development and retention of penetration testers.
- Growth Manager: Expand the commercial penetration testing customer base:
- Identify and work with leadership on new capabilities that create new or emerging market space.
- Identify new leads though networking with existing and potential customers.
- Develop and organize service offerings, client strategy, pricing and profitability.
- Serve as a key contributor to capture and proposal efforts.
