Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Assure safety and quality standards are maintained while receiving and inspecting incoming products.  Compile necessary data to aid in quality reports.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform mechanical and conformity inspections of received parts to ensure compliance to purchase order, drawing and/or contract requirements.

  • Capable of being trained to read and interpret purchase orders, drawings, parts lists, wire lists, and other related manufacturing/engineering documents

  • Assist and investigate identified trends related to parts non-conformities

  • Verify packaging, preservation, and shipping processes on received materials to ensure compliance to purchase order and contract requirements

  • Track rejected material and compile daily activity records and reports

  • Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

  • Other duties as assigned

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:  

    None 

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:   

    Ability to identify and use standard measuring tools (calipers, gage pins, height stands….) in the inspection trade

    Working knowledge of machining finishes, including but not limited to, chem-film, paint, and anodize

    Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company/government standards

    Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

    Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

    Ability to adhere to workplace rules

Experience and Skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

HS diploma or equivalent

Good Computer Skills

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED):

Experience in ISO 9001/AS9100 quality system environment

Experience in ANS1-ASQC-Z540/MIL-STD-45662 calibration systems preferred

Experience in IPC-600/MIL-P-55110, printed wiring board standards preferred

Experience in J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, acceptance of cable and wire harness assemblies preferred

Experience in ANS1-ASQCZ1.4/MIL-STD-105, sampling procedure strongly preferred

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Office and production environment

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)

Ability to lift  up to 30 pounds

Must have 20/20 vision and color vision with or without corrective lenses
