Job Description

In preparation for a successful SMDC contract Task Order bid and win, Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services is looking to identify highly qualified and capable candidates for the anticipated Training Support Specialist position as per the upcoming SMDC NCR-IADS Task Order. Candidates with incumbent experience are highly encouraged to apply against this contingent position.

The selected candidate will provide Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) and Distributed Digital Training support for Air Defense Artillery (ADA) systems. This includes operational training, wargame, exercise and event training support. The candidate should have a strong background in live, virtual and constructive modeling and simulation. Experience assessing doctrine, Concepts of Operation (CONOPS) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) is highly desired. Specific experience supporting Patriot, SHORAD/Avenger/Manpads, ADAFCO, and/or NASAMS training preferred. The candidate is required to have experience with one or more of the following tools: Patriot RT3, FFEADS, RTOS Patriot, and AME. Direct experience supporting the Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) for ARNG ADA units or National Guard Patriot Training Program is highly desired.

Experience and Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is desired, however substitution with applicable training and additional experience will be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree.
  • Candidate should have five (5) or more years of relevant experience supporting Air & Missile Defense Operations. 
  • A current Secret DoD Clearance is required.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency using MS Office applications.


  • Understanding of Army Air and Missile Defense system operations and their respective Capabilities and Limitations (e.g. Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD), Sentinel Radar, NASAMS and Avenger Weapons Systems) and each system’s unique integration requirements to assist with event planning and execution.
  • Experience planning, designing, implementing and managing tactical interfaces, and associated interfaces/protocols, to include JREAP-C, between tactical systems and commercial software applications is desired.
  • Past experience working with DoD Modeling & Simulation (M&S) applications is a plus.
