GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Provides leadership for those involved in the development, design, and optimization of one or more information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms. Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Evaluate the company’s adherence to federal technology requirements for security
• Be responsible for developing the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) throughout the IT Operations group
• Works to increase user satisfaction.
• Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage systems. This list includes, but is not limited to, Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare
• Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems.
• Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility.

• Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
• Makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations effective achievement of objectives.
• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
• Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
• Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
• Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Experience and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Sound understanding of cloud technology. This list includes but is not limited to Microsoft Azure, O365 and AWS
• Sound understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
• Sound understanding of the NIST 800-171 and 800-53 security frameworks
• Ability to lead and teach others
• Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the Essential Job Functions, including computer skills.
• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
• Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.
• Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing, and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment, and changes, and more.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree; or a minimum of 8 years and a master's degree; or 16 years equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated familiarity with NIST 800 series guidelines
• Broad based IT background with an understanding of networks, protocols, security configurations, cryptography, identity and access management, and the systems development life cycle.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong presentation skills.
• Certifications and continuing education preferred (ITIL)

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Office and/or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, use tools/equipment).
