Job Description

General Job Summary:

-To determine correct materials and procedures for product Fabrication and Assembly to meet quality, cost, and schedule operatives.

Essential Job Functions:

-Generates Bills of Material (BOM’s) for use in procuring required material for job.

-Generates work orders for each drawing for fabrication or assembly of parts in a timely and cost-effective manner.

-Generates requests and reviews any required tooling.

-Develop process flow for assembly line to achieve efficient manufacturing

-Implements drawing changes issued by Engineering as needed by directing rework and repairs, changing shop work orders and methods.

-Ability to generate estimates and supporting documentation such as BOM's and labor estimates.

-Reviews Engineering drawings at the Preliminary Release phase.

-Works with Engineering on specification call outs and changes.

-Interprets drawings and assists in resolving customer and manufacturing questions.

-Supports field service trips for product servicing and warranty efforts.

-Provides input to update Work Instructions and procedures.

-Demonstrated history improving manufacturing time and cost.

-Ability to generate Value Stream Maps (VSM) of assembly process.

-BA/BS degree in a technical field, manufacturing, or industrial disciplines.

-8 years related experience in manufacturing.

-Knowledge of shop equipment.


-Office environment.

-Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

-Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).

-Ability to lift  up to 40 pounds.
