Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Purchased Part Expediter is responsible for working with our supply base to assure on-time delivery in support of our operations and programs. The Purchased Part Expeditor works closely with purchasing and the Material Program Managers to ensure supplier and customer delivery is achieved through accurate and timely management of purchase orders for assigned commodities here at KUAS.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for weekly/daily follow up with KUAS key suppliers relative to delivery dates.

  • Phone and email suppliers who have deliverable product items to be received at Sacramento or Oklahoma facilities.

  • Update and communicate the delivery status of KUAS suppliers via weekly delivery reports to a variety of internal KUAS departments customers.

  • Ability to access databases, maintain databases, and meet multiple task or project deadlines.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with suppliers, KUAS buyers, Program Managers, and Production Manufacturing personnel.

  • Work closely with Buyers and MPMs on expediting purchase orders.
  • Identify potential risks within the supply chain and communicate to next level for mitigation.

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires High School education or equivalent.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office and or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

     

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 0-25% May be required to travel locally, domestically and internationally.
