Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

 To lead the training development and execution of training for manufacturing employees.  Also, acting as a floating Supervisor to assist production needs when necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  • Delivers training of manufacturing personnel at workstations and in the classroom
  • Develops new training or methods of training
  • Validates effectiveness of training
  • Provides feedback to performance reviews based upon execution from training
  • Directs the efforts of assigned departments, including supervision of staff and associated personnel actions. 
  • Ensures department work areas are safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant through training, implementation of EHS policies, and continuous improvement. 
  • Creates and maintains training matrices of personnel and associated documentation.
  • Interfaces with supporting departments such as Engineering and Quality Assurance. 
  • Ensures adequate resources are in place for employees to perform daily operations, including materials, tools, and training.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:   

Provides direction to designated work teams with responsibility for maintaining production schedules, quality of work, and planning and assigning duties when necessary.

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

Ability to interact effectively with peers, production personnel, and management.

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

High school diploma required

2-year or 4-year college/university degree preferred but not required, or equivalent experience.
