EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Vocational degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Basic computer skills required.
Valid forklift operator’s permit required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Minimum 1 year related maintenance experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience with CNC controlled equipment.
Ability to read detailed prints.
Knowledge of electronic equipment.
Knowledge of power equipment and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Should have strong electrical background.
WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Shop Floor environment.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to tolerate constant noise (i.e.: machine motors).
Ability to work safely in the presence of hazardous chemicals and hazardous conditions.
Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Confers with operators and observes, tests and evaluates operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.
Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators and mechanics to detect equipment problems and ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.
Arranges for test-runs of repaired machinery and equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
Decision Making/ Accountability
Study blueprints, schematic, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.
Special Knowledge/ Skills
Ability to read detailed prints.
Computers and electronics- knowledge of electronic equipment.
Mechanic – knowledge of power equipment and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. Should have strong electrical background.
Troubleshooting – determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Equipment maintenance – performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
Repairing – repairing of equipment or facility related items using the needed tools.
Installation – installing equipment, machines, or wiring to meet specifications.
Plumbing and electrical skills.
Operation monitoring – watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strength and weakness of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
