Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures material is received, inspected, routed to appropriate area or placed into stock.  Assists with issuing materials, maintaining the stockroom, and compiling reports.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Fulfill internal customer orders in an accurate and timely manner

  • Assist in the maintenance of an accurate inventory and cycle counting

  • Perform regular replenishment of primary stock items

  • Assemble kit orders, kit labels, and packaging

  • Perform daily warehouse housekeeping, stock checks, and inventory maintenance using the Company ERP system and scanner

  • Maintain proper storage methods, identification, and stock location as directed

  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects

  • Assist internal customers by providing procurement guidance and/or stocked selection

  • Other duties may be assigned

Experience and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:   

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

Ability to adhere to workplace rules

Ability to read and interpret work instructions

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

HS Diploma or equivalent

Basic computer experience using MS Word and Excel

Stockroom experience preferred

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Production environment

 

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

 

Ability to perform repetitive motion

 

Ability to lift  up to 50 pounds

 

Ability to perform physical actions such as moving, reaching, grabbing, packing, lifting, pulling, climbing, and pushing
