Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: 

Performing various types of operations in the Human Resources Department as needed. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide administrative support of the following HR functions:

  • Create, maintain, and update employee files
  • Assist with recruiting and hiring activities such as reviewing applicants, scheduling interviews, and preparing for new hire orientation
  • Provide backup support to the switchboard operator/receptionist and other HR administrative functions (copying, shredding, etc.)
  • Interact with employees at all levels including management
  • Create employee badges
  • Update employee bulletin boards

 

Other Job Functions:

  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: 

This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.

Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors.

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary.

Ability to adhere to workplace rules.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree Program

Basic Computer sk9ills required

Ability to read, write and follow written instructions 

 

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Shop Floor and Office environment.

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools).

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
