Job Description

Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services is currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Technician.  The primary duty of a warehouse technician is to assist engineers and lead technicians as necessary with unpacking and inspection of incoming hardware, and assembly and preparation of integrated launch vehicle systems. Additionally, the warehouse technician will prepare equipment for engineering test campaigns, assist with test execution and tear-down of test equipment. The warehouse technician will conduct quality assurance inspections for incoming mechanical hardware and complete inspection and non-conformance reporting as necessary. The warehouse technician will also be responsible for tool control, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. This includes but is not limited to sweeping floors, replacing light bulbs, throwing out packaging and boxes, and organizing supplies and materials, and other general building maintenance activities.

Secondary job duties may include assisting with inventory management activities, product tracking and data entry.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist lead technician(s) and engineer(s) as needed. 
  • Daily activities may include but are not limited to: unpacking and assembly of mechanical systems, inspecting products, setting up and tearing down test equipment, preparing and conducting mechanical tests, collecting data, building and warehouse maintenance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:   

  • Must have excellent organization skills
  • Must be proficient in MicroSoft Products
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
  • Ability to adhere to workplace rules

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma plus 2 year degree or trade school
  • Minimum of 2 + years’ experience in mechanical assembly
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Industrial work environment
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
  • Ability to lift  up to 50 pounds
