Job Description

The position of System Engineer is responsible for technical execution of RF Systems.  The position requires working with Program Managers and Project Engineers to close out technical issues on projects and key customers as well as project managing smaller projects within the department. Requires international travel in order to install, train, and get system acceptance on key system deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Project Engineers to build, test, deliver, install and train customers on Kratos RF systems for Satellite and Terrestrial applications. 
  • Hire, Train and mentor Project Engineers to successfully execute project from Kickoff, Design Review, build, test, ship, installation and provide training at customer’s facility.
  • Generate all necessary documentation for successful project execution.  This includes but not limited to VCRM, Proper Test Procedures.
  • Communicate through various tools project status to customers, appropriate Project Managers and General management as necessary to maintain clarity in project status.
  • Maintain up-to-date procedures for all aspects of Project Execution.
  • Determine any new system needs (hardware and software) to meet the project requirements.
  • Domestic and international travel required.

 

Experience and Skills

Requirments: 

  • Bachelors of Science or equivalent.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of job-related experience.
  • Strong System Engineering background with RF knowledge a plus.
  • Problem solving- working with customer to negotiate and clear technical blocking issues.
  • Familiarity with Software Development, Hardware Development and Project Execution.

Preferred: 

Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

Product compliance and system engineering, that include software and hardware, experience.
