This position is for procurement of Fabrication and Commercial items (COTS) ranging from MRO to large electro-mechanical requirements. Must have experience with CPSR compliance, Federal procurement (DoD preferred) and supporting an engineering-manufacturing environment. This is a very active and face paced environment with a small business mind set. Will utilize Approved Vendor List and MRP generated requirements to issue RFQs and award POs. Develop new sources when tasked to do so.
Position requirements –
Attention to detail, receipt of PO acknowledgments, order expediting follow-ups; organizational skills; ability to multi-task in dynamics of environment;
Examine and analyze COTS purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; determines method to process requisition based on dollar amount, timeliness required, and/or establish competitive bidding.
Ability to read blue prints / drawings / schematics / technical specifications
Knowledge & experience with US Government procurement knowledge of FAR & DFAR related regulations & compliance (CPSR)
Experience in purchasing COTS electronic components and or hardware assemblies
Effective communication skills required to interface/collaborate with various department levels to clarify or complete information. Interface with vendor for resolution of payment issues, where needed.
Ability to cross-training functional capabilities among team custom fabrications and expediting.
Efficient skills in Microsoft Office suite to support of enhanced vendor & internal communications.
Negotiation skills while continuing effective vendor working relationships.
Solid understanding of manufacturing interface with Purchasing.
Strong analytical skills for evaluating supplier bids including cost analyses.
Demonstrated self-management, problem solving and priority setting.
Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint Material Module
Advanced excel spreadsheet capabilities & related computer skills preferred.
DoD-DLA procurement experience, is extremely useful.
