Job Description:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Engineer/Scientist II will, under the direction of the senior engineer/scientist and the engineering/scientific team leader, work projects dealing with unmanned aerial systems (UAS), directed energy, and field testing. The candidate will work on technical activities leading to the accomplishment of assigned tasks. The candidate will be actively engaged in Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) testing and field activities.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Accomplish technical interface, coordination and collaboration on a pre-prototype weapon system
• Plan, coordinate and perform HWIL, SWIL, M&S and other related analysis/testing.
• Assist in integration of a complex pre-prototype weapon system.
• Maintaining system readiness and security.
• Perform upgrades and system modifications.
• Assist in planning, coordination and execution of field testing and analysis.
• Develop mechanical drawings of complex systems
• CAD using Solid Works/Solid Edge
• Model and simulation using Matlab
• Assist in developing requirements and procedures for a proposed weapon system

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Other related duties may be assigned
• Provide on call support.
• Work with members of the subcontractor team.
• Take part in technical reviews.
• Review proposals
• Assist in preparation of proposals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• BS Engineering Degree
• 0 to 3 years of relevant task related or course work experience


WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Office environment
• Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Travel 25% of the time
