Job Description:

Design, administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server infrastructure; performs all aspects of Exchange design and administration including hardware and software evaluation, application security backup and recovery planning.  Responsible for specification of new product functionality and for design and architecture of the product to meet customer environment compatibility and work seamlessly in complex Exchange environments.

Set up test environments representative of customer environments and conduct rigorous performance and scalability testing. Work closely with Development in exercising the performance, capacity and scalability of our Exchange solutions at all phases of software development. This role would routinely work in the office but be allowed to work remote on occasion.  

Required Experience:

  • 8 to 10+ years as a systems administrator
  • 3 to 5 years in enterprise exchange administration 
  • Significant experience in the operations of Exchange 2010 environments
  • Expert knowledge of the Exchange backup and recovery
  • Deep understanding of the front-end / back-end and clustered architecture of Exchange Server.
  • Expert knowledge of the Active Directory architecture
  • Experience using backup, replication, antivirus and anti-spam products for Exchange.
  • Strong Powershell scripting experience.
  • Strong understanding of performance and scalability
  • Skills in working with customers and integrators
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Microsoft certification a plus
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with disk arrays and SAN architectures 
  • Relationships with the Exchange administrator community

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 8 to 10 years of related experience

Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 8 to 10 years of equivalent work experience.
