Job Description:


The Receptionist greets vendors, customers, job applicants, employees and other visitors at the Kratos Unmanned Aerial Systems Sacramento facility.  Determines nature of business, and directs callers to destination.  This position also assist the Human Resources department with various administrative functions.


  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

  • Operate a switchboard to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls transfers to voicemail or utilizes organizations paging system

  • Perforns filing, sorting/delivering mail, answering phone, copies, and other light administrative tasks.

  • Welcomes new hires to the lobby upon their initial start date and takes badge photo, creates employee identification badge.

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition Specialist and hiring supervisors to schedule staffing agency employee interviews with Production Supervisors; follows up to collect interview evaluation forms, and works with hiring supervisor and Staffing Agency Representative to finalize agency employee assignment start and end dates.

  • Collects agency employee timesheets from superviors and submits to each agency at start of each workweek.

  • Communicate with customers, business partners and employees in person, email and over the telephone.

  • Initial point of contact for ingress and egress system (creates badges for all visitors to the building)

  • Creates employee and visitor identification badges and maintain building accesses under the direction of the Facilities Security Officer

  • Work with other departments to complete special projects

  • May prepare items for mailing USPS or FedEx.

  • Assists  HR team with administrative tasks and light projects such as filing, archiving/retrieving file boxes, supporting on-site employee events, assembling new hire packets, etc.

High School diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of relevant work experience (Receptionist or Administrative Assistant)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook


Office and manufacturing environment

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)

Ability to lift  up to 10 pounds
