- Must understand ANSI Y 14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Must be proficient in the programming software currently in use as well as MS Word and Excel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school education or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years experience as a machinist
Minimum of 3 years experience with CNC programing
Proven experience handling and machining various metals & composites
Associates Degree or trade program
5+ years experience as a machinist
Prior experience with Vericut 7.0
Experience with MasterCAM, Siemens NX 8.5, and SolidWorks or CATIVA V5 a plus
- Knowledge of Haas / Fadal / Fanuc controllers a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, grasping, stooping, kneeling, climbing.
- May work in controlled and non-temperature controlled environments
Occasional exposure to noise, hazardous materials and/or chemicals
Works with a variety of hand tools, power tools and other related equipment
Works in confined spaces
May work extended hours or weekends
