Job Description:

Kratos Communications is seeking a team-oriented C++ Software Engineer that excels at developing user interfaces to build software applications for our Service, Network and Device management products. Must be a self-starter and able to work productively within a fast-paced engineering team. A good candidate will enjoy focusing on the user interface, but will be comfortable working at any layer in the software stack.

Required Experience:

• Maintaining Legacy C++ code base
• Participate in design/implementation/support of migration of legacy product to microservice based architecture
• Working within a team environment to define/refine/document features
• Write comprehensive and effective unit/component level tests
• Works well within Agile/Scrum development environment
• Evaluate new technologies and toolsets

 

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, or a related discipline (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.).
• Use C++, or C# or .NET core to develop solutions for Windows based platforms
• Have 4-6 years of experience in working with above technologies
• Knowledge of Java/Scala/Go Lang are desired
• Must be a self-starter, able to work productively independently, as well as working effectively within a fast-paced, mulit-disciplinary engineering team
• Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
• Understanding of object oriented design and software engineering principles and practices
• Experience developing in Continuous Integration/Continuous deployment pipeline(CICD)
• Understanding of GIT workflow
• Working experience with cloud deployments, Microservices and RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of GoogleTest/Junit/NUnit test frameworks
• Experience with Agile/Scrum Development
