Job Description:

The Federal Solutions Group is a leader in satellite command and control solutions provider focused on DoD, Civil (NOAA/NASA), and National customers. 

 

This position will develop and teach advanced space operations concepts to students and will also help establish the initial cadre within Kratos to innovate new training systems to transform DoD space system operations for the next generation of space warfighters. The qualified candidate has experience as an effective space and ground systems instructor and will be called upon to provide systems engineering expertise to develop and grow space systems programs.  The candidate must be self-motivated, work well independently, be a self-learner, be able to work well as part of a larger team, and be able to work well on a short schedule.  Independent work will include developing courseware and training plans, while group work will include developing requirements, synthesizing designs from disparate programs into a centralized system, and developing tests and test plans for those requirements.  Trainer experience will be essential for systems engineering work in order to storyboard scenarios to develop use cases, which in turn will drive requirements and test plans.  In addition to these day to day activities, Kratos will provide the tools for qualified candidates to grow into systems engineering roles and leadership positions.

Experience and Skills:

 

Required:

-Must have experience developing curriculum for military and government training environments to meet established course or curriculum standards.

-Must have experience training military and government personnel in Space or Space-related systems and/or concepts.

-Ability to understand and derive requirements as inputs to design.

-Ability to understand data security processes and implementation.

-Excellent oral and written communications skills.

-Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Preferred experience:

-Advanced Space Operations School / 319th Combat Training Squadron trainer and/or curriculum development experience.

-Experience developing courses to prepare Intelligence personnel for the Space Domain.

-Experience in complex orbital planning and maneuvering concepts either in a training or operations role.

-Experience using advanced modeling and simulation systems in the Space domain – military or civil.

-Two to three years experience in satellite operations.

 

This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Travel required: 25-30% (both local to the Colorado Springs area and around the US)

 

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.
