GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Kratos Defense and Rocket Support Services (KDRSS) is seeking energetic and knowledgeable candidates to join our industry leading team of experts in DODs highest technical priority - hypersonics research, development, test and evaluation. KDRSS is supporting Department of Defense and internal research and development efforts such as  http://ir.kratosdefense.com/news-releases/news-release-details/kratos-xq-58a-valkyrie-completed-its-maiden-flight-march-5-2019  through high-resolution Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling using accepted non-proprietary models on High Performance Computing (HPC) platforms.  We are developing the next-generation of software tools for evaluating the trajectory-based aerodynamic heating of high-speed and hypersonic vehicles. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team and expand their technical capabilities by assisting in the application and development these tools providing unmatched capability in demanding high-speed aerodynamic and aero-thermal problems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Entry level knowledge of high-speed aero-thermodynamics and compressible flow.
  • Experience in Matlab programming and visualizing datasets using Matlab functionality.
  • Entry level knowledge of C++ language.

 

Other Job Functions

  • Develop reports, briefings and documentation.

  • Ability to work with a team of experienced and motivated engineers developing the next generation M&S tools for the DoD.
  • Experienced with Matlab
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

  • BS Aerospace Engineering or related discipline, 0-1 years of experience
