KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must perform and/or assist all activities normally found in fabrication of PSE, GSE
Must be able to work on feet all day while bending, lifting and crouching
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
Ability to adhere to workplace rules
- Ability to effectively communicate professionally in writing or verbally with all levels of personnel
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in a variety of fabrication disciplines.
Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with other employees.
General contracting experience/skills.
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, grasping, stooping, kneeling, climbing.
Working with a variety of hand tools, power tools and other related equipment.
Occasionally lifts and carries objects weighing up to 50lbs.
Works in non-temperature controlled environments.
Works in confined spaces.
Utilizes hand and power tools
Works with industrial chemicals and adhesives such as epoxy, grease, oils, and cleaners.
May work from a variety of surfaces, level or unlevel, when performing job duties.
May work extended hours or weekends.
Occasional exposure to noise, hazardous materials and dust.
Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
