Job Description:

Experienced Electromechanical Engineer needed to lead a team in the design modernization of a spin-stabilized Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) for aerospace applications.  Must be able to work with multi-discipline team members to re-engineer obsolete electronic circuits with current generation components.  In addition, candidate will be responsible for preparing for design reviews and flight qualification.  Also, must be able to produce assembly work instructions, design functional checks, write calibration procedures and supervise assembly activities that lead to flight qualification and small batch production.

Experience and Skills:

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • BS in Engineering or Physics with 3 years experience

                         or

  • MS or PhD in Engineering with 2 years experience
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
  • Possesses working knowledge of Electromechanical engineering industry practices, standards and technology areas
  • Good communication skills
  • Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment
  • Ability to assist in definition, trade-off and design activity
  • Ability to review, evaluates, and analyzes designs
  • Ability to prepare, review, and evaluate documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures.
  • Ability to assist in definition, analysis and allocation of requirements
  • Ability to support test programs and analysis of test data
  • Ability to conduct analysis of requirements and components,
  • Ability to support verification activities to ensure intended functionality and performance is achieve
