We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facility Technician.
The Facility Technician is responsible for performing maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facility Supervisor (FS); troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems/fixtures, change light bulbs, minor electrical troubleshooting and repair (switches, outlets, ballasts), repair/replace mechanical components (motors, filters, thermostats, etc.), patch and paint small areas, help to monitor/escort contractors performing facilities work. Clean areas affected by spills/accidents during the day before the janitorial staff arrives. Repair furniture, disassemble, move and reassemble furniture as directed. Install/remove pictures, televisions, whiteboards, keyboard trays, and various other furniture or mechanical systems as needed. Respond to facility emergencies, such as water/gas leaks, assist in locating valves, reporting, evacuating personnel and assisting in any life-safety actions required. Repair and servicing of appliances, or escorting contractors for major repairs. Organize and maintain mechanical/electrical service rooms, storage areas, and other facility rooms. Inspect facilities for maintenance issues, report issues to FS for prioritization and referral to outside agencies as needed. The Facility Technician is expected to work independently after being provided a task list, and occasionally required to re-prioritize tasks on-the-fly when needs arise. Weekend/evening work may be occasionally required.
