Job Description:

Kratos Space & Missile Defense Systems, Inc. is a leading supplier of engineering, technical and manufacturing services related to suborbital rocket vehicles for a range of applications including ballistic missile defense system testing and advanced research and development. The Program Manager is a manager within the company who has a minimum of seven (7) years experience, including five (5) years of demonstrated management experience or project level management in major systems. The program manager must have good understanding of the project management process, have strong communication and customer service skills and be able to motivate their team(s). The Program Manager should be good with budget and funding calculations and must possess analytical skills.  The Program Manager is involved in all stages of a project or program ensuring success in the planning, scheduling, implementation and tracking progress for assigned tasks.  The Program Manager's teams will be multi-disciplianry and geographically dispersed.  Can supervise a team of up to 5 people.

The Program Manager will be responsible for running complex programs and projects with activities to include:

  • Planning and establishing project goals and milestones
  • Clearly defining requirements and scope
  • Risk management
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) activities
  • Defining resources and schedule for implementation of the program
  • Detect and resolve project issues effectively and efficiently
  • Integrate project teams and managing conflicts within the varying skill sets
  • Perform team assessments and evaluations
  • Developing and maintaining project related reports an documentation
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement
  • Ensuring all activities comply with company policies, standards and procedures
