Job Description:

Provide systems engineering support to the WAM program.  Develop technical documentation and provides configuration management for the documents.  Work with the Assistant Program Manager (APM) and Chief Engineer (CE) to develop briefings and coordinate meetings internally and externally with other Navy and Air Force stakeholders. 

Responsibilites include but are not limited to:  

  • Assist in development of WAM performance requirements documents, including coordinating specifications reviews, adjudicating comments, and providing document updates
  • Support the WAM program team in developing program acquisition documents and other technical documentation 
  • Provide team leadership for the development of the technical data package (TDP) to support the WAM request for proposal (RFP) 
  • Aid in the development of WAM test plans and procedures. 
  • Prepare briefing materials for, as well as participate in, meetings with other Space and Warfare Command (SPAWAR) and Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (PEO C4I) programs, as well as external joint/service government organizations to address current and potential future issues/risks and open actions
  • Provide other support to customer as required. 
Experience and Skills:
  • Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills and email etiquette.
  • Must be a proactive self-starter, work well independently and with teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio.
  • Minimum 6 years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of SATCOM and Navy Networks.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering required. BSEE desired.
  • Current/active Secret clearance at start of assignment required.
