Job Description:

Individual will create, review, and audit processes and products within a cross-functional team.  Individual will be responsible for discerning appropriate governing specifications to disseminate to the organization for compliance to required special processes.  Individual will be responsible for working with manufacturing operators, technicians, and engineers to validate manufacturing processes are within operating specifications.  Individual will validate manufactured and purchased products meet requirements through means of visual inspection, in-process testing, and documentation validation.  Laboratory Manager will also assist with providing knowledge and guidance to the Gichner team in regards to the Quality Policy, the CAPA process, FOD inspection, Work Order Compliance, and general Safety Requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Review and Test Received material for specification compliance

  • Perform In-Process Audits over multiple manufacturing processes

  • Maintain chemical storage for In-Process testing

  • Assist with Customer Audits as required

  • Witness In-process Testing as required

  • Assist with Work Procedure/Instruction/Process updates

  • Work with Customers and Suppliers to understand and develop special process requirements

  • Oversee laboratory technicians

  • Oversee QA processes for the conversion coating and bonding processes

  • Execute process implementation for multiple programs and customers

  • Participate in proposal efforts, bid development, and job kickoffs

     

     

Experience and Skills:

Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or relevant background required

Masters degree preferred

Minimum of three years of experience
