The Senior Test Technician (STT) performs standard testing on a variety of training devices and records the results. In addition they will perform tests and troubleshoot assemblies and subassemblies including the wiring harness, cables and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) on the training devices. The STT will perform as Lead technician during hardware/software integration of production simulators and will assist with on-site delivery and testing of training devices. Troubleshoot assemblies using supplied Mechanical and Electrical drawings, schematics and wire lists. Perform Device Testing when required and write discrepancy reports on failed Trainer test steps and performs the retesting of each when the failure has been corrected. Works under the general supervision of the Test Manager and Program Manager and follows established Company Procedures. This position reports directly to the Test Department Manager. There will be a need for off shift and weekend work.

Perform device testing when required and write discrepancy reports on failed trainer test steps and performs the re-resting of each when the failure has been corrected.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide leadership of the Integration team during device systems Integration
Ensure all Test Policies and Procedures are being followed during Test Phases
Will lead and provide training to junior Test personnel
Knowledge of basic test equipment including multi-meters, oscilloscopes and computers.
Knowledge of Contractor and Government testing Processes.
Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wire lists and parts lists.
Good communication and customer relation skills.
Sound reasoning abilities and judgment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree or Technical Education Degree program.
Experience of five years technical experience in simulation and/or five to eight years experience in associated technical field may be substituted for a degree.
Possess a general working knowledge of the Simulation and Training industries practices, standards and technology areas.
Military Avionics or Electronics background is a plus.
Smoke free environment manufacturing bay or Test Lab environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, access equipment in awkward locations and stand for long periods of time.
