We are currently looking for an Operations Planning and Supply Chain Manger  responsible for Manufacturing Planning, Secure Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control and Shipping and Receiving in a scalable engineer to order manufacturing operation using modern ERP approaches.

 

The Operations Planning and Supply Chain Manager will lead and manage approximately ten motivated team members to support on time, high quality solution delivery while maintaining compliance with government and internal controls.   Specific areas of focus include

    • Design supply chains for new products, and improve current supply chains
    • Execute and manage supplier agreements
    • Form positive working relationships with internal customers and critical suppliers
    • Ensure that supplies, tools, equipment and raw materials are properly requisitioned, ordered and delivered on time, on budget and to quality requirements
    • Regularly communicate material status to Project Managers
    • Manage inventory, to include leading stocking level assessments and ongoing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Manage the manufacturing plan, ensuring appropriate work-orders (Jobs) are created, maintained and closed to assure supply to Project Teams.
    • Manage company shipments to ensure on-time, high quality deliveries worldwide, in accordance with applicable export laws.
Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years experience as a buyer or planner in a manufacturing environment
  • Four plus years of management experience
  • Extensive procurement execution and supply chain management experience
  • Understanding of modern product regulations and secure supply chain concerns and requirements.

 

 

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

 

 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent follow-up
  • Successful track record of improving operational efficiency and quality, while maintaining a customer-centric orientation.
  • Ability to communicate and execute a direction/plan
  • Must be able to lead the staff, create and implement process initiatives
  • Successful at tracking key metrics - to include cost savings, Supplier OTD, PR to Purchase Order cycle time, etc.
  • Experience in procurement of capital and facilities equipment as well as aerospace type tooling
  • Ability to collaborate and establish positive supplier and internal customer relationships
  • Must be able to work in a fast passed, high visibility, sometimes high stress environment
  • Experience leading project teams
