Job Description:

Kratos delivers integrated end-to-end enterprise solutions across the ground station to communication service providers. Our market-leading products help assure the availability, reliability and quality of communications. Our Lanham office has an opportunity available for an Associate Systems Engineer. Candidate must have experience with the EPOCH Integrated Product Suite and be detail-oriented, self-motivated, professional, strong customer support skills including working at the customers site and able to communicate well with people. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The ideal candidate will be involved in engineering and implementation phases of program development including: design, coding, testing, and related support activities.

  • Will participate in the establishment of the system by executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems.
  • Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
  • Assists Sr. Systems Engineer with preparing users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.
  • Willingness to travel outside the United States for 5 - 7 weeks a year; US passport. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Requires 0 to 3 years of applicable experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in aerospace, physics, electrical engineering or related technology field
  • Experience with EPOCH Integrated Product Suite
  • Familiarity with Windows, Linux and/or Solaris
  • Ability to apply sound object-oriented design methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networks.
