Job Description:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

With some supervision, builds, tests, troubleshoots, and performs services and repairs on assemblies, sub-assemblies or systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform diversified test operations and troubleshoot electronic assemblies

  • Work effectively with the assembly team to ensure timely shipments

  • Diagnose most test failures to component level and coordinate corrective actions

  • Assist in the calibration of electronic test equipment

  • Ensure all test equipment utilized is in working order and in calibration at all times

  • Provide accurate and timely status updates to new production and return tracking documents

  • Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

Experience and Skills:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:   

Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards

Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary

Ability to adhere to workplace rules

Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, basic schematics, work instructions and component identifications

Ability to perform required test operations

Working knowledge of basic test equipment (DMM, Power Supply, Oscilloscope)

Ability to work with minute parts and demonstrate finger dexterity

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

HS Diploma or equivalent, AS degree in Electronic Technology, or equivalent, preferred

A minimum of two years electronic assembly experience or working knowledge of electronic calibration, electronic field technician, or equivalent may be substituted

MS Office experience required

Basic understanding of digital and RF electronics, preferred

Successful completion of electronic technician training 

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Production environment

Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

Ability to perform repetitive motion (use of arm-hand steadiness, finger dexterity, manual dexterity for small parts assembly, frequent use)

Ability to lift  up to 30 pounds

20/20 vision and color vision with or without corrective lenses
