Job Description:

Kratos Communications is a trusted global satellite communications monitoring, interference detection and geolocation company. Kratos Communications is committed to developing industry practices and new technologies to reduce the costly effects of unwanted interference. Kratos Communications products, SAT-DSA, Monics, satID, and SigMon use patented algorithms, complex science and cutting edge technology to monitor satellite communications for Quality of Service; identifying anomalies, including secondary signals, and geolocating sources of interference. Kratos Communications is also leading the efforts behind streamlining network operations and services/content insight.

We are looking for an Application Engineer in the Colorado Springs, CO area. The Applications Engineer (AE) is a multi-functional role that supports product development and our global Customer base.  As an application engineer, you will develop your skills and knowledge in satellite geolocation in support of enhancing geolocation and the satID product along with providing support in investigating and troubleshooting support issues. Product development will include all aspects of the development cycle from algorithm investigations through to system verification.

Experience and Skills:

• BSc degree or better in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
• Less than 1 year of experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong skills in areas of problem solving and investigation
• Self-starter and proactive personality - capable of acting intelligently to ensure product  goals are met with minimal oversight regarding specific tasking
• Ability to  maintain positive and professional demeanor, even when working through stressful or challenging situations
• Estimated travel is up to 10%

Preferred skill-sets:

• Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms
• Experience with experiment design and data analysis
• Experience with Matlab
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) satellite communication subject matter and technologies
