Job Description:

 ** Contingent upon contract award. Responsible for providing assistance in reviewing, monitoring, and updating Cybersecurity documentation as related to USBR Cybersecurity Risk Management.

Essential Job Functions/Knowledge:

Under direct supervision, perform as a member of a team consisting of other cybersecurity engineers and specialists in the application of technical and functional expertise to support on-site compliance assessments and security engineering and advisory for federal networks, information systems, and applications using standards such as FISMA and NIST guidance. Candidate will possess one or more areas of specialization in cybersecurity and/or FISMA fields such as documentation support.

Specific Duties may entail:
· Serve as a cybersecurity professional with specialized skills in documentation support for FISMA compliance programs and efforts
· Assist senior engineer(s) and specialists with FISMA compliance assessments including scheduling, preparation, and concluding documentation.
· Apply basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, practices, and tools to support security documentation efforts for complex federal networks and information systems.
· Maintain on-going awareness of emerging cybersecurity threats and trends.
· Support the development and maintenance of necessary standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 

Experience and Skills:

· At least 1 year of general or specialized IT experience.

· At least 1 year of experience in conducting FISMA assessments and cybersecurity engineering such as in an ISSO/ISSM or cybersecurity engineer role.

· Basic knowledge of FISMA, NIST 800-53 rev4, and associated controls and practices.

· Experience in the development, editing, and production of technical documentation for FISMA compliance efforts

Education Requirements:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification Requirements:

· Security+ CE required
