Job Description:

Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services is currently seeking a Systems Engineer at White Sands Missile Range.  The Systems Engineer will provide the business knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products and provide a superior level of technical support.


  • Assist in architecting software solutions
  • Assist in performing system design activities
  • Assist in developing new applications
  • Assist in software integration and deployment
  • Work with a team responsible for building, testing, and supporting command and control (C2) ground systems and demonstration equipment, running Solaris, Windows, and Linux operating systems with a mix of commercial and custom application software
  • Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
  • Consult with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system
  • Develop and direct system testing procedures, programming, and documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills:

The following qualifications are REQUIRED:

  • A minimum or higher Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a STEM program.
  • At least ten (10) years professional experience in major Test & Evaluation engineering projects.
  • DoD Secret clearance.

The following qualifications are DESIRED:

  • Demonstrated experience related to operational procedures and an in-depth knowledge of fire control systems similar to those used in the Navy.
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection means and recording capabilities for information generated by the Fire control system as well as telemetry.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze test scenarios, technical communications, systems schematics, and other information to design and implement system configurations required for various tests. 4. Electronics engineering and strong software minor such as computer science or specific engineering data
  • systems.
