Proficient in general computer technology related to an office environment.
Knowledge of standard engineering methods, practices and techniques used in an electronic environment as well as knowledge of the operation, function and application of test equipment and instrumentation used for automatic testing of electronic systems and components including associated software.
Experience utilizing AutoCad is preferred but not required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate or Equivalent and Technical School Certification/Degree in one of the following fields: scientific, engineering, electronics, mechanical or other similar field.
Four year degree in computer science, IT, electronics or other similar field preferred but not required. (Degree in one of these fields will eliminate the requirement for a Technical School Degree/Certification and can also be considered toward work experience).
Eight years experience required in a scientific, technical, engineering or industrial avionic/electronic production related field, with three years in direct support of electronic, industrial, or mechanical engineering activities/functions.
If substituting work/military experience in lieu of any education requirement, an additional 1 year experience is required.
The work environment characteristics are representative of those performing essential functions of the job in an industrial production and repair environment. Able to work sitting or standing or operating government owned vehicles. Standard work week but expected to work as the requirement dictates. Possibility of electrical shock, burns from electrical energy or hot solder, and minor cuts/bruises.
