Job Description:

As a Manager of FedRAMP Consulting for Kratos Cybersecurity, you will be part of a team directing and managing the organizations technical resources. The consulting team performs security assessments and provides consulting support to assist clients in meeting FISMA and FedRAMP requirements. The ideal candidate will have a firm understanding of how to apply the principles of Information Security in a variety of circumstances and expertise translating the NIST 800-53 guidelines into common technical implementations. This role is both a management and technical position.


• Direct/Manage/Supervise the organizations technical consulting program.
• Responsible for the growth and quality of consulting services.
• Oversee projects to ensure expectations, timelines, and budgets are being met.
• Develop and organize service offerings, client strategy, pricing and profitability.
• Oversee staffing skill development and retention of consultants.
• Work to continually build and improve solid and well-rounded practice area teams.
• Set consultant utilization and revenue metrics and ensure targets are met.
• Oversee proposal development and may be called in to present proposals to clients.
• Provide technical expertise and remain current on technology trends in the marketplace.
• Maintain a strong network and promote the organization at various industry meetings, forums, panels and conferences.
• First-Level Manager. Manages the activities of the individual contributors. Responsible for hiring, firing, performance reviews, and pay reviews.

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant discipline, or relevant work experience.
• Maintain one or more of the following certificates: CISSP, CEH, CAP, Security +, GSEC, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated familiarity with NIST 800 series guidelines (800-30, 800-37, 800-53 and 53A, 800-60, etc.).
• Broad based IT background with a technical understanding of networks, protocols, security configurations, cryptography, identity and access management, and the systems development life cycle.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with strong presentation skills.
• Ability to translate technical materials and issues into non-technical/layman terms.
• Applies attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in all work products.
• Demonstrated skills in the entire Microsoft desktop suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
• Team player able to work well with others in a collaborative manner and is a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to interact with clients and represent Kratos Cybersecurity in a professional manner.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to travel 25%.
• 5 to 9 years of Sr. Security Consultant experience with at least one year of leadership responsibility.
